RETRO: My old games
Teo — Sun, 07/03/2011 - 11:51
Yesterday I found one of my old games, I used to create in my teen ages at high school. I decided to collect them and share with you. All of them are written in GML, which is a language derived from C, and used by the Game Maker application. Please, don't take them too seriously, and don't count the bugs :)
War!
This is a turn based game for two players. At the beginning they need to buy their armies from pre-generated supplies. Then, they deploy the units on the battlefield and the war can begin! This game was rated pretty good, and it was released on DVD of Czech game magazine Score. But still it has many bugs, and many things could be improved. I started developing also War2!, but I never finished it, and the source was lost with a hard drive format.

Project: Dalajlama
In my very humble opinion, this game had the biggest potential, but I never finished it. I released only a demo, and that is all what remained from this game. It's a real time action game, with table tennis ball as main character, using the fact it's a ball for special movement like rolling. Demo contains the complete training camp, so you can enjoy the basic physics and game play.

Gombfoci: Soccer with buttons
To understand the concept of this game, you should know a Hungarian classic desk soccer game, played more than 100 years ago with big coat buttons as players - gombfoci. This is a simple remake to a two-player turn based computer game, again, with many bugs, but still pretty fun to play.

Expedition: Future
This game was a school project, about our visions, how could future look like. With my classmates we made a website, and this game. It's an adventure game, when you need to pass two levels by collecting points for minigames.
